Wheel Thrown Speckled Cream Planters with built-in Trays

These planters are handmade on the potter's wheel from speckled buff stoneware, covered with white porcelain slip, and fired to 2200 degrees F. with a durable clear gloss glaze on the outside.
The inside is left unglazed to aid in root health and development. A small tray is thrown at the base and a drainage hole has been added to keep the soil from getting soggy.
The planters are extremely durable and suitable for indoor or outdoor use. The medium planter is 5-1/2" h x 6" w and the small one is 4-1/4" h x 3-3/4"w.
The speckles in the buff clay show through the white slip which has been brushed on in loose, wavy patterns to give these pots a warm, earthy, organic feel.
